SizeScope — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
SizeScope: Height Comparison ("the app") draws people, animals, buildings and planets side by side to scale. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: your work is stored on your device; you control exports, sharing and Android backups.
Information the app handles
- Comparisons you create: titles, the names and heights you type, the silhouette and color of each figure.
- Your own height ("Me"), if you choose to save it for one-tap adding.
- App settings: units, theme and export options, plus a few counters that decide when to ask for a rating (when you first opened the app, how many pictures you exported, when a rating was last requested).
What we do NOT do
- We do not receive, sell or use your personal data for advertising or analytics. User-selected exports, sharing and Android backup are described below.
- The app has no account system, no analytics, no advertising SDKs and no crash-reporting SDKs.
- The app does not request runtime permissions or the internet permission. It does not upload your comparisons or saved height to a developer server. Optional Google Play reviews, exports, sharing and Android backup are described below.
Where your data lives
- Comparisons and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your device.
- If you have Android's backup enabled, they may be included in your device backup, which is handled by Google under your Google account settings, not by us.
- When you use Save to Pictures, the app writes a PNG image to the Pictures/SizeScope folder on your device. When you use Share, the app hands a PNG image to the app you pick in Android's share sheet. What happens to the image after that is controlled by you and that destination.
- Now and then (at most once every 60 days) the app may ask Google Play to show its rating card. If you rate the app there, or through Rate SizeScope in Settings, your rating is handled by the Google Play Store app under Google's privacy policy; SizeScope's code does not receive your rating or review text. Share SizeScope hands a short text with a link to the app's Google Play page to the app you pick.
Google Play reviews and deletion
If you choose to submit a star rating or review, Google Play processes it under Google's terms and privacy policy. A submitted review may be public, or shared privately with Ninko as feedback during a closed test. Public Play reviews are associated with your Google Account and may show your public profile information. The app's code does not receive your rating, review text or submission status. Google states that this review data is encrypted.
Google provides review-deletion controls in the Play Store or your Google Account. For a posted review, open this app's detail page in the Play Store, find your review, and choose More > Delete. Instructions: Google Play review deletion instructions. Clearing this app's storage or uninstalling it does not delete your Play review.
Deleting your data
Delete a comparison inside the app to remove it, or remove your saved height in Settings. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes everything the app stored (images you saved to Pictures stay until you delete them).
Children
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. It does not send your locally created work to the developer.
Retention and security
App data remains in Android's private app storage until you delete it or clear the app's storage. Android controls device security and system backups. Exported files, copies you share and system backups may remain after uninstalling; manage or delete them in the destination app or device backup settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with a new "Last updated" date.
