Privacy Policy: Catnip Chase: Games for Cats

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Catnip Chase: Games for Cats ("Catnip Chase", "the app") is an Android app with games for cats. This policy explains what happens to information when you use it. Your settings and statistics are stored on your device; you control Android backup and sharing through other apps. The developer does not receive your settings or play statistics from the app.

App data and external services

The app has no user accounts, advertising, analytics or remote crash reporting. It does not request the internet permission and does not upload your settings or play statistics to a developer server. Optional Google Play reviews, sharing and Android backup are described below.

Information kept on your device

To work, the app stores a few things in its own private storage on your device:

This information never leaves your device through the app, and the developer cannot see it.

Ratings and sharing

Now and then (at most once every 60 days) the app may ask Google Play to show its rating card. If you rate the app there, or through Rate Catnip Chase in Settings, your rating is handled by the Google Play Store app under Google's privacy policy; Catnip Chase's code does not receive your rating or review text. Share Catnip Chase hands a short text with a link to the app's Google Play page to the app you pick.

Android backup

If backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the settings and statistics above in your own device backup (stored in your Google account) and copy them when you move to a new device. That backup is run by Android and Google under their privacy policies; the developer has no access to it. You can turn backup off in your device settings.

Permissions

The Vibrate permission lets the app give an optional short buzz when your cat catches something. It is granted at install time and does not give access to your personal data.

Google Play reviews and deletion

If you choose to submit a star rating or review, Google Play processes it under Google's terms and privacy policy. A submitted review may be public, or shared privately with Ninko as feedback during a closed test. Public Play reviews are associated with your Google Account and may show your public profile information. The app's code does not receive your rating, review text or submission status. Google states that this review data is encrypted.

Google provides review-deletion controls in the Play Store or your Google Account. For a posted review, open this app's detail page in the Play Store, find your review, and choose More > Delete. Instructions: Google Play review deletion instructions. Clearing this app's storage or uninstalling it does not delete your Play review.

Deleting your information

You can delete the play statistics at any time with Stats > Reset stats in the app. Clearing the app's storage in Android's settings, or uninstalling the app, deletes everything it has stored.

Children

The app is made for adult cat owners and is not directed at children.

Retention and security

App data remains in Android's private app storage until you delete it or clear the app's storage. Android controls device security and system backups. Exported files, copies you share and system backups may remain after uninstalling; manage or delete them in the destination app or device backup settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
